Riverstone (Stone Cold) Roger
When you're late for the train station.
Riverstone Roger is an expert marksman with a mean streak a mile wide when he sees injustice. They say if you wuz to kill him, it would only make him mad.
Roger Ramjet
Fighter Pilot
Roger Ramjet, Call Sign “Sugar Ray,” was a US Marine Fighter Pilot He flew the A4M Skyhawk and AV8B Harrier. After he was honorably discharged from the service he was an instructor pilot, a charter pilot, and an Airline Pilot where he flew the Boeing 757. There is not much need for a pilot at the ranch, but when we need quick reactions we call on Roger Ramjet.
Redneck Roger
Maintenance and Operations
Redneck Roger came from humble means. He grew up in Laytonville California, up in Redwood country, where he learned to live off the land and maintain a small ranch on a shoestring budget. At Riverview Ranch, he maintains and operates our equipment and is called on when a car battery dies or a mower throws a belt. He is pictured here showing off his 1967 Farmall 706 Tractor.
Roger That!
Singer / Songwriter
Roger That! is doing what his younger self always dreamed of doing. He is an aspiring singer who accompanies himself with guitar. He is a regular at Scott Rischie’s open mic at the Grape Escape in Galena on Sundays from 1 to 4 pm. He is eager to share his talent with folks who appreciate fine music. Grizzly Roger
Bear, Aligator, and Mountain Lion Control
Grizzly Roger is an outdoorsman and survivalist. Nobody really knows much about him, and we don’t see him much here at the ranch. But the firewood is always chopped and we never see any bears, alligators, or Mountain Lions around here.
Winter Wrangler Wroger
Cold Weather Care, Feeding, and Maintenance
Winter Wrangler Wroger takes care of the animals when the other Rogers are curled up in a warm bed covered in five blankets. He migrates north in spring and returns with the golden leaves.

Crowd Control
Never one to back down from a fight, Sugar Ray Roger is pictured here after some dude knocked off his hat, and just before that dude’s trip to the hospital.
Riverboat Roger
Canoe & Kayak Rentals and Tours
Riverboat Roger is around during summer months to help folks launch on the river in our canoes and kayaks. If you ask him to help around the ranch he always seems to have just stepped on a pop top or “can’t help right now” because he is “looking for his shaker of salt,” but he is always up for a boat ride in the beautiful Mississippi River Wildlife and fish Reserve. He normally winters in Florida.
Firefighter Roger
Fire Safety
Firefighter Roger volunteered time to the Platteville Wisconsin Fire Department. He has been trained as a firefighter and enjoyed his short time there. He maintains the Ranch fire detection systems and advises on fire safety. If you would like your kids to learn about fire safety ask Wrangler Roger to set up a time for Firefighter Roger to visit with your family.
ZoRojelio
Midnight Crime Fighter
The name Roger (Rojelio in Spanish) means “famous spear” or “renowned for his sword”. ZoRojelio, (pronounced with a flamboyant Spanish flair), dresses in black and fights crime in his spare time, normally on Wednesdays, but he is often available on Tuesdays too. He rides his Valiant Midnight Steed into battle against evildoers. ZoRojelio was almost fluent in Spanish long ago but he has not had much practice lately so, if you want to speak to him in Spanish, talk slowly and use small words.
Roger Dolittle
Animal Whisperer
Roger Dolittle has long been able to communicate with animals in their native languages. We call on him when an animal misbehaves and we can’t figure out why.
He has found that most trouble with the animals at the ranch is caused by the animal feeling as though his/her feelings are not being taken into account by the humans. He trains humans to better understand animals, and he rehabilitates animals crying out for help.

Our Guests and Visitors sometimes confuse Wrangler Roger with Ranger Roger. We want to be clear: Ranger Roger is not part of our team. We have tried to contact him, but he does his own thing… and we are not responsible for his actions. Whatever you have heard about Ranger Roger is not on us.

Regular Roger is punctual, shaves regularly, and has a high fiber diet.
Roger The Geek
Computer Whiz
Roger the Geek is our go to computer programmer. He graduated with a BS in Computer Science in 1982 from Oregon State University. His first programming class was on punch cards. So, yes, old guy. He designed and built this website. He is a bit shy, and he stays in his dimly lit “science alcove” hunched over his computer, so we are still trying to get a quality photo of him.
