Ride a horse (200 lbs max) or mini horse (50 lbs max).

From 6:30 pm to 10 pm

This event is open to ticketed visitors on these dates:  Sept 13, 27, Oct 4, 11, 18, 25, Nov 1, 8 – 2025.

5 minute horse rides available for an added fee.  (max 200 lbs-horse or 50 lb- mini horse). Wrangler Roger will lead the horse. 

We offer longer private Horse Ride & Petting Zoo experiences that you can schedule at other times.

For families, couples, and other groups

We wanted to offer something for everyone. This is it. Adult groups, families, Retired folks. Everyone is welcome. It will be fun for all.

Please help us keep everyone safe by staying out of horse enclosures unless you are escorted by a wrangler.

You can also schedule a private campfire event.

Horse Rides & Petting Zoo

Horse max - 200 lbs
Mini Horse max - 50 lbs

Wrangler Roger brings out a horse with saddle. Rides are for kids and adults under 200 lbs.  If there are any kids under 50 lbs who would like to ride the mini-horse we can saddle up Bullseye on request. We ride one person at a time. Liability waiver required.

Only ticketed riders and their guardians are allowed in the horse enclosure, one family/group at a time. 

Please park along River Road and walk in through front gate. 

Gate Opens at 5:30 pm.

Start Your Fires

Please park along River Road and walk in through front gate

Campfires will be in the outdoor arena. Gather around the campfires and Wrangler Roger will greet you and help get the fires started. Please stay in the designated areas unless you are escorted by a wrangler.  We provide campfire pits and wood/fire making equipment.  

We have chairs and hay bales to sit on but you are welcome to bring your own chairs, food, and drinks. 

A unicorn can show up for a small fee.

6:30-10 pm

Chuck Wagon & Fun Stuff

Cook Food over fires

Bring your own drinks and hot dogs/marshmallows to roast over the fire (chocolate is poisonous to dogs so please be very careful).  Our dogs will join the fun. Please bring basic food that you can cook using a skewer, like hot dogs. If you want to try something more exotic, consider bringing shish kabobs.

We provide campfire wood and wooden roasting skewers.  

Rocking Horse Races, for kids under 30 lbs. and a roping dummy with lariats will be set up near the campfires for your use at the event.  

8 - 10 pm

Gather around the campfire to hear Roger That! play guitar, sing songs, tell stories. If you are into stories about princesses and dragons about to hear the story of “Sir Thanks A-Lot.”

We’ll have boards and our branding iron at hand for anyone who wants a branded keepsake. Bring a board or leather item or anything else you want to brand with a Lazy B over B brand.

Over the Mississippi River

Watch the sun set as horses graze nearby. Roger That! normally keeps his scariest story (not really scary) for the darkness. Ask him to regale the story of “Harry the Hairy Ape.”

If things are going well, we may go as late as 11 pm.
