There's Just Something About a Campfire
Staring into burning embers one can become transfixed by the almost imperceptible change that is happening. We are more open to connecting with other people. We can share more deeply as we gaze at the disappearing firebrands. Campfires are mesmerizing. We provide a beautiful place where people can find peace, humor, warmth, and communication. A campfire slowly dies if it is untended, much like peace, truth, love, and laughter. At campfire, we can tend to one another, and demonstrate caring, by spending quality time and by laughing together.
Flexibility Is The Key
As a former US Marine Officer, Wrangler Roger understands the need for flexibility and rapid decision making when several options are available. So, he has designed campfire experiences with flexibility at its core.
You can book a basic campfire or get all the bells and whistles described below. If you want something completely unorthodox, we may be able to accommodate your needs even if it is not listed below.
You can purchase the private campfire ticket and come enjoy the event without buying any optional tickets.

Special Events
Overnight Guests or Day Visitors. Rent the whole Ranch with lots of options available for a package price. Pick and Choose what you want available. Use your imagination, we are flexible.
We can provide up to four portable campfire pits, chairs and/or hay bales for seating, firewood, matches, a bellows, kindling and assistance starting a fire. Enjoy an afternoon barbeque or watch the sun set while cuddled up by a crackling fire.
Overnight Guests may have a campfire (with no extras) any time they want, weather permitting, for $10 to cover firewood expenses.
Day Visitors may book a private campfire experience or other special event by contacting Wrangler Roger.
Tell us what you want to do, how many people will come, and how long you plan to stay and we’ll offer a quote. (Minimum $200 for standard campfire, for 2 hours, with up to 6 persons). Package price for horse riding, more visitors, roping demonstration, live music, canoes and kayaks, more time, etc. – pricing negotiable.
Food options
Bring your own food and drinks to grill on our fire pit.
Go All Out – talk to Wrangler Roger about getting your event catered by a local restaurant or a professional caterer with all the trimmings. We let you choose what you want and we provide the venue.
Walmart delivers to our ranch. You can shop online and have steaks, drinks, marshmallows, skewers, etc. delivered to the ranch. Use the Walmart App.
Roger That!
Live Music
Roger That! will play some campfire songs for you. We also have contacts with other local musicians and can arrange for them to play for your event.
Roast Marshmallows
Chocolate is poisonous to dogs. If you have smores, please be careful not to leave the chocolate where our dogs can find it.
For a small fee we provide a bag of Marshmallows and wooden skewers.
Petting Zoo and Horse Rides
Talk to Wrangler Roger for a package deal to include tour(s) of the ranch and for horse and mini-horse rides.
We can bring some of the critters to meet you at the campfires. Horses, goat, dogs, cat, and mini pigs will be out there for you to meet and pet. Price is negotiable.
Horse Rides and Petting Zoo tours are available.
Spooky Stories & Dad Jokes
Roger That! will tell you his spooky stories after the night becomes really dark. Ask for “Harry the Hairy Ape,” or “Quasimoto’s Replacement.” He can also tell the beautiful story of Sir Lancelot of the Round Table rescuing the princess. We encourage kids to make up stories to tell at campfire.

Payment Options
Coordinate with Wrangler Roger, 608-331-0000, before paying. Arrange scheduling, selected options, and pricing with him. Make payment below. Can pay half up front and the other half two weeks prior to your event.

Reserve time slot by mailing a check, made out to Riverview Ranch, to 2689 S. River Rd., Galena IL 61036. 1.5% discount if the check arrives at least 14 days in advance.

Branding Demonstration
Wrangler Roger's Great Grandfather's Brand. Lazy B over B.
Brand a board with the Riverview Ranch Brand. Take the board home with you. If you have something made of leather, or wood, bring it and we’ll brand it for you. With mom and dad’s permission, supervision, and a signed liability waiver, we may let you do the branding. This brand was originally registered in New Mexico by Wrangler Roger’s great grandfather, Bunyan Burton, who owned 13,000 acres of land just north of Vaughn New Mexico.
If Wrangler Roger feels a child cannot safely perform the brand, Roger will do it for them. Parents are required to be present with their child. Liability Waiver required.
Special Visitors
Wrangler Sabina as Lily Rose, the Unicorn. Wrangler Roger as Woody - from Toy Story.
Are your kids into unicorns? Select the Magical Unicorn Option and they will be visited by Lilly Rose.
Wrangler Roger can appear as Woody, from Toy Story. Not many people know that the animated Woody in the Toy Story movies.
Photo Op with a horse of your choosing
Want a picture of your kid with Bullseye and Woody?
Dress your older kids up like a knight in shining armor with a midnight black horse.
Take a Photo of your family with lariats and a branding iron in hand and wearing cowboy hats. You tell us what photo you want and we’ll try to accommodate.
Added fee and liability waiver required.
Rocking Horse Races
For Kids under 35 lbs.
We have two rocking horses we will set out by the campfires for your use if you have little tykes under 40 lbs who may want to ride them.
Pet Horses over the fence
Pet horses - no charge. Feed them hay - small charge
Horses will be all around your campfire area with a fence separating you. You can pet them over the fence. Participate in feeding time.

See where the critters sleep. View the stalls, arena, tack room and other areas of the ranch and equestrian center.
Steer Roping Lesson
Lariats and Roping Dummy Provided for a small fee
We can set out a roping dummy near the campfires so you can practice roping cattle. Ropes are available for purchase for $25.
Weather
If the wind is unsafe Wrangler Roger will adjust the position of the fire pits or disallow fires.
If weather forces us indoors we have a large indoor riding arena and a good sized lobby where we can do everything except the campfires.
