There's Just Something About a Campfire
Staring into burning embers one can become transfixed by the almost imperceptible change that is happening. We are more open to connecting with other people. We can share more deeply as we gaze at the disappearing firebrands. Campfires are mesmerizing. We provide a beautiful place where people can find peace, humor, warmth, and communication. A campfire slowly dies if it is untended, much like peace, truth, love, and laughter. At campfire, we can tend to one another, and demonstrate caring, by spending quality time and by laughing together.
Flexibility Is The Key
As a former US Marine Officer, Wrangler Roger understands the need for flexibility and rapid decision making when several options are available. So, he has designed campfire experiences with flexibility at its core.
You can book a basic campfire or get all the bells and whistles described below. If you want something completely unorthodox, we may be able to accommodate your needs even if it is not listed below.
You can purchase the private campfire ticket and come enjoy the event without buying any optional tickets.

Private Campfire & Admission for 3 Hours
Free for Overnight Guests - Ticket Required for Day Visitors
We provide up to four portable campfire pits, chairs and/or hay bales for seating, firewood, matches, a bellows, kindling and assistance starting a fire. Enjoy an afternoon barbeque or watch the sun set while cuddled up by a crackling fire. Extra Visitors require an Extra Visitor ticket. Basic ticket includes admission for up to 4 people. You can purchase extra tickets for up to 24 total. Children 2 years and under get in free.
Overnight Guests may have a campfire (with no extras) any time they want, weather permitting, for no extra charge. Ask WR for assistance.
Day Visitors may book a private campfire experience by purchasing a ticket.
Private Campfire is a required purchase for any of the added options. For example, you cannot roast marshmallows unless you have a campfire ticket.

Food options
Bring your own food and drinks to grill on our fire pit or purchase a traditional American hot dog meal from us and save yourself the hassle. If you want to go all out – talk to Wrangler Roger about getting your event catered by a local restaurant or a professional caterer with all the trimmings. We let you choose what you want and we provide the venue. Here are the options.
- Bring your own food and drinks – cook it on our fire pit. No added fee. 15 min drive to grocery store.
- Traditional American backyard cookout: Hot dogs, buns, chips, mustard, catsup, skewer sticks, & Root Beer floats, and marshmallows. Added fee.
- We will help you find the best caterer for your event: Sandwiches, Mexican food, Sushi, or professional black tie event catering. We have contacts in the community to provide whatever catering event you are looking for. You coordinate with, and pay, the caterer.

Live Music
Roger That! will play some songs for you.
This is included as part of the basic campfire ticket price.
Marshmallow Option
No Smores Please
For a small fee we provide a bag of Marshmallows and four wooden skewers.
We do not allow Smores because chocolate is poisonous to dogs. Our dogs will be walking all around. Nala loves campfires.
Petting Zoo and Horse Rides
Limited access during campfire events
We will be too busy during the campfire events to do horse ride or petting zoo tours. We will bring some of the critters to meet you at the campfires for no extra charge. Horses, goat, dogs, cat, and mini pigs will be out there for you to meet and pet. Please do not feed them anything we do not provide for that purpose. If you want to see the chickens, ducks, and guinea pigs you will need to take a ranch tour.
Horse Rides and Petting Zoo tours are available separately. You can book a horse ride earlier in the same day as your campfire event, just not at the same time.
Spooky Stories & Dad Jokes
Roger That! will tell you his spooky stories after the night becomes really dark. Just feed him a cookie or hand him a beer for payment. Let him know if your kids scare easily and he will adjust. Ask for “Harry the Hairy Ape,” or “Quasimoto’s Replacement.” He can also tell the beautiful story of Sir Lancelot of the Round Table rescuing the princess. We encourage kids to make up stories to tell too.

Ice Cream
Option
We provide root beer with the All American Cookout package package. If you would like ice cream, this option is available for a small additional fee. Each bag contains 12 child size plastic cups of vanilla ice cream. Price is per each bag.
Branding Demonstration
Wrangler Roger's Great Grandfather's Brand. Lazy B over B.
Brand a board with the Riverview Ranch Brand. Take the board home with you. If you have something made of leather, or wood, bring it and we’ll brand it for you. With mom and dad’s permission, supervision, and a signed liability waiver, we may let you do the branding. This brand was originally registered in New Mexico by Wrangler Roger’s great grandfather, Bunyan Burton, who owned 13,000 acres of land just north of Vaughn New Mexico.
If Wrangler Roger feels a child cannot safely perform the brand, Roger will do it for them. Parents are required to be present with their child. Liability Waiver required.

Special Visitors
Wrangler Sabina as Lily Rose, the Unicorn. Wrangler Roger as Woody - from Toy Story.
Are your kids into unicorns? Select the Magical Unicorn Option and they will be visited by Lilly Rose. Lilly stays with us on magical nights and flies off to other worlds when things get too boring around here.
Wrangler Roger can appear as Woody, from Toy Story. Not many people know that the animated Woody in the Toy Story movies was based on Woody Roger, a REAL COWBOY.

Photo Op with a horse of your choosing
Want a picture of your kid with Bullseye and Woody?
Dress your older kids up like a knight in shining armor with a midnight black horse.
Take a Photo of your family with lariats and a branding iron in hand and wearing cowboy hats. You tell us what photo you want and we’ll try to accommodate.
Added fee and liability waiver required.
Rocking Horse Races
For Kids under 40 lbs.
We have two rocking horses we will set out by the campfires for your use if you have little tykes under 40 lbs who may want to ride them.

Pet Horses over the fence
Pet horses - no charge. Feed them hay - small charge
Horses will be all around your campfire area with a fence separating you. You can pet them over the fence. You can buy a bale of hay to feed them.
Access to pet the horses is included as part of the private campfire ticket price. They will be a short distance from the campfires. You can purchase hay to feed the horses for a small fee.
Ranch Tour
Meet the Critters too
See where the critters sleep. View the stalls, arena, tack room and other areas of the ranch and equestrian center. Small added fee. The tour takes about 15 minutes.
Steer Roping Lesson
Lariats and Roping Dummy Provided for a small fee
We can set out a roping dummy near the campfires so you can practice roping cattle for a small added fee. Ropes are available for purchase for $25 so you can practice at home.
If the wind is unsafe Wrangler Roger will adjust the position of the fire pits or disallow fires.
If weather forces us indoors we have a large indoor riding arena and a good sized lobby where we can do everything except the campfires.
